While staying at the Bayerhof hotel in Munich, Germany, Henry Ford is visited by leaders of the Nazi Party but refuses to see them.

In an attempt to gain his support for the National Socialist movement in Germany, they ask his staff about getting a donation of 20,000,000 Marks from him (about $4,500,000). Ford refuses.

The report of this incident comes the following morning from the Jewish Telegraphic Agency. It's virtually impossible that the Nazis would have notified this agency about what happened; indeed, it's more likely that they wouldn't want anyone to know.

So the information has to have come from Henry Ford and his staff directly. The fact that he wanted to inform a Jewish organization so quickly suggests that he is responding to pressure from Jewish groups for his many years of promoting anti-Semitism.
