Pope Innocent II dies. He was originally elected pope with only a minority of votes, but those voting for him had much more power. The candidate who got the most votes took the name Anacletus II and became an antipope.

Innocent had to flee, however, due to lack of local support; he won't sit on the papal throne until King Lothair comes back with him in two years.

In return, Pope Innocent II crowned Lothair Holy Roman Emperor.
