The Arbeitsgemeinschaft Katholischer Deutscher (Working Group of Catholic Germans, AKD), which replaced the Kreuz und Adler organization founded by Vice Chancellor Franz von Papen one year ago, begins publishing a weekly newspaper, Der Deutshe Katholik an der Saar (The German Catholic in Saar).

The purpose of the Working Group of Catholic Germans is first to explore all the similarities between Catholicism and National Socialism, and second to mobilize Catholics for the National Socialist cause as well as encourage the belief that Catholicism is fully compatible with National Socialism.
