In Khobar, Saudi Arabia, commandos storm a housing compound where Islamic militants had been keeping several dozen hostages. The decision to launch the mission is made after it's learned that the militants had begun killing the hostages, and commandos do find nine bodies when they enter.

The commandos free the 25 remaining hostages, kill two militants, and arrest several others. The situation began the day before when Islamic militants went on a shooting spree in an area inhabited mostly by Westerners and took some hostage.
