Johann Ludwig Graf Schwerin von Krosigk, Minister of Finance in Hitler's Nazi government, makes a radio broadcast to Germany in which he refers to an "Iron Curtain" falling across Europe.

He got the term from Joseph Goebbels, but it will later be made famous by Winston Chruchill.
