Hitler's Issues Decree to Take More Control Over Military

Adolf Hitler at Nuremberg Parade, 1935

Timeline of History

Political History

Adolf Hitler issues a decree designed to establish greater control over the military and prevent another "stab in the back" as was generally believed to have happened at the end of World War I.

Members of the Wehrmacht are prohibited from marrying non-Aryans and all those found to be "unworthy of military service" are barred from the military. This includes people who had ever been in prison for any reason.
