Death of Guido von List

Guido von List dies in Berlin. List was one of many 19th century writers who romanticized ancient polytheistic religions, imbuing them with everything they held in high esteem while criticizing modern religions for all the ills of the world.

Some of Guido von List's ideas find their way into the neo-pagan and occult beliefs of some Nazis. It's unlikely that Guido von List had much more than a superficial or marginal influence on the development of Nazi ideology, but he did share with them a disdain for Jewish and Semitic ideas as well as their impact on Germanic culture.
