After holding out for four months, the city of Beirut falls to the Frank Crusaders under the command of King Baldwin I of Jerusalem and Bertrand of St. Gilles, Count of Tripoli.

The siege of Beirut has been aided by a naval blockade conducted by ships from Pisa and Genoa. The result is a bloodbath as the Crusaders massacre the Muslim inhabitants of Beirut.
