Moors under the command of Masdali re-capture Valencia; it will not return to Christian hands for another 225 years.

Possession of Valencia has shifted several times in recent years: the Almoravids took it from the Christians in 1102, then Alfonso VI of León and Castile retook it the same year.

Alfonso VI was unable to hold it against Almoravid leader Masdali, however, and on this day it returns against to Muslim control.
