Laila Freivalds, the Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs, resigns following a scandal involving the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons. In February, the Sweden Democrats party published the cartoons on their web site and, shortly thereafter, their site was taken down by their ISP.

This only happened because the government had contacted the ISP and suggested taking the site down, but Laila Freivalds lied about her involvement in this and blamed an subordinate for acting on their own. When the truth is revealed, Freivalds has to resign.
