The McMartin Preschool "Satanic Ritual Abuse" hysteria officially starts with criminal charges being filed against Virginia McMartin, Peggy McMartin Buckey, Ray Buckey, Ray's sister Peggy Ann Buckey and teachers Mary Ann Jackson, Betty Raidor, and Babette Spitler. It starts with only 115 counts of child abuse, but it later grows to 321 counts involving 48 kids.

The trial will will the longest and costliest criminal trial in U.S. history: 7 years and $115 million. There will be no convictions because the prosecution relies entirely upon shoddy evidence, unethical interrogations, and bizarre methodology. All the allegations are pure fiction, pushed and promoted by people who either have something to gain or lack the mental ability to comprehend the truth.
