Josef Frings, Archbishop of Cologne, delivers a sermon in which he emphasizes how wrong it is to kill innocent people simply because they belong to another race. Frings does not, however, use either the word "Jew" or "non-Aryan."

Perhaps he expects people to infer that he has them in mind, but the lack of specificity means that it's too easy for people to dismiss or ignore what he's saying. It also suggests strongly that Archbishop Josef Frings at least has a good idea of what's happening to the Jews, which makes his failure to be specific and direct all the more tragic.
