First Female Prisoners Arrive at Auschwitz Extermination Camp

The first group of female prisoners arrives at the Auschwitz extermination camp. There are 999 women from the Ravensbrück concentration camp in Germany and another 999 women from Pored in Slovakia.

At least 750,000 people will be murdered here at Auschwitz over the next few years and Rudolf Höss will put the number at over 1.1 million.
