Goebbels Discusses Removal of Jews from Berlin

Joseph Goebbels Giving a Speech

Joseph Goebbels convenes a meeting at the Propaganda Ministry to discuss the removal of Jews from Berlin. Goebbels wants them evacuated immediately, but Adolf Eichmann has to explain that plans have already been worked out for removing all the Jews from Germany and it's just a matter of waiting for the General Government (Poland) to be able to take them.

Adolf Eichmann adds that Reinhard Heydrich specifically "is entrusted by the Führer with the final evacuation of the Jews" and that there is a plan in place which Hitler has given his approval to.

On March 17, though, Adolf Hitler had apparently promised Hans Frank that Poland would be made "Jew free."

How can Poland be the destination for the evacuation of Jews from German if Poland is also to be made completely free of Jews? The solution is obvious: extermination.
