Catholic Bishop Praises German Army Returning to the Rhineland

In response to the German army marching into and re-militarizing the Rhineland, Bishop Clemens August Graf von Galen, Catholic Bishop of Münster in Westphalia (which is in the Rhineland) sends a welcome message to Freiherr von Fritsch, supreme commander of the Germany army.

From Galen's message:

"In the name of the staunchly German Catholics of the diocese of Münster and especially of the lower Rhine, I welcome the German armed forces, which from today on will again shield the German Rhine, as protection and symbol of German honor and German justice."
