In a memo about a meeting with Cardinal Michael von Faulhaber of Bavaria, Bavarian Minister of Interior Adolf Wagner notes that the former gave a "flawless Hitler salute conforming to the rules" both when leaving and entering the room.

There is certainly no requirement for a Catholic prelate for doing this, and certainly not in a manner so perfect that it's worth specifically pointing out. This suggests that Cardinal Faulhaber is genuinely enthusiastic in his support for Adolf Hitler and the Nazi regime.
