Impoverished Adolf Hitler Cancels Membership in Museum Association in Linz

Adolf Hitler, 1933

Timeline of History

Adolf Hitler cancels his membership in the Museum Association in Linz. Hitler has only been a member for one year and the reason for the cancelation is probably that he can no longer afford the yearly fee of 8.40 Kronen.

This is the only independently verifiable act of Adolf Hitler at this time and it's not known whether other records existed and were destroyed.

It is definitely a time of great hardship for Adolf Hitler because money he had borrowed from his aunt is about to run out and he hasn't been able to find either a job to earn money or a position as a student.

In fact, in September, 1908, he had failed to even be permitted to take a "trial exam" for entrance Vienna Academy of Fine Arts, the second time he had tried to get into the school.
