Birth of Reinhard Tristan Eugen Heydrich, Architect of Holocaust

Reinhard Tristan Eugen Heydrich is born in Halle, Germany. Heydrich will become chief of the Reich Main Security Office (which oversees the operations of the Gestapo and other police agencies) as well as Reich governor of Bohemia and Moravia.

As chair of the Wannsee conference, Reinhard Heydrich will be one of the principle architects of the Holocaust. Adolf Hitler will look upon him as a possible successor.
