Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Molotov is born in Russia. Molotov will become one of the leading Soviet politicians and diplomat. He will also be an early Bolshevik leader, sitting on the Military Revolutionary Committee which plans the October Revolution. He will remain a loyal supporter of Stalin even until his death and despite the fact that Stalin has him removed from his offices after World War II.

It's ironic that a staple weapon of insurgency will be named after him, the Molotov Cocktail. The name is created by Finns fighting against the Soviet Union in the Winter War. Molotov himself will never a fighter or soldier; he will be a writer who spends all most all his time sitting behind a desk. In fact, one of the nicknames he gets is "stone arse" because of how much time he spends at a desk.
