Pope Gregory XV canonizes Ignatius Loyola and Francis Xavier, founders of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and Teresa of Avila, a Spanish Carmelite nun. Pope Gregory XV wants to support Catholic forces who are fighting Protestants in Germany but he is able to achieve little aside from reinstating the dominance of Catholicism in Bohemia.

Gregory does manage to reinforce traditional Catholicism by canonizing important Church figures
