French King Henri IV Threatened With Excommunication by Pope Gregory XIV Hot

Pope Gregory XIV threatens to excommunicate Henry of Navarre, future Henri IV of France. Gregory has intervened heavily for the Catholics in the French Wars of Religion, not just by excommunicating Henri but also by repeating the decision of his predecessor, Pope Sixtus V, that a heretic (Protestant) like Henry is ineligible for the Catholic throne of France.
