Milan archbishop Anselm of Buis and Count Albert of Biandrate arrive at Constantinople with a Lombard army in order to launch attacks on Muslims in the Holy Land. They link up with Raymond IV of Toulouse at one point and win several engagements with Turks.

Soon, though, Archbishop Anselm of Buis is wounded badly and returns to Constantinople where he dies.
