Judge Barnet Cooperman of the Los Angeles Superior Court dismisses a $1-billion class-action lawsuit that had been filed against the Church of Scientology by former members.

According to the lawsuit, the Church of Scientology has been stealing money from members and threatening critics. Judge Cooperman rules that the plaintiffs have failed to provide sufficient evidence to support their allegations.
