General Wilhelm Keitel orders that all copies of his May 13 directive about how to deal with Russian civilians ("Russian civilians suspected of offenses against German troops should be shot or ruthlessly punished without a military trial, and that the prosecution of German soldiers for offenses against Russian civilians was not required.") should be destroyed.

The directive is to remain in effect, however.
