Heydrich Orders SS & Police to Liquidate Racial Elements in Conquered Territories

Reinhard Heydrich

Reinhard Heydrich, chief of the Reichssicherheitshauptamt (RSHA, Reich Main Security Office), issues written orders to high-ranking SS and police leaders instructing them to liquidate "radical elements" among conquered people, especially "Jews in party and state positions."

With regards to Jews in particular, Heydrich writes:

"No steps will be taken to interfere with any purges that may be initiated by anti-Bolshevik or anti-Jewish elements in the newly occupied territories.

On the contrary, these are to be secretly encouraged."
