Cardinal Bertram Asks Gestapo To Allow Religious Worship in Concentrations Camps

Cardinal Adolf Bertram, Archbishop of Breslau, asks the Gestapo to allow religious worship services again in the concentration camps. He promises that the priests involved will follow all the rules required of them, but his plea is rejected.

Sometimes, regardless of how much the Catholic hierarchy bows and scrapes, the Nazis insist on refusing their humble requests.
