Two Bishops of Evangelical-Lutheran Church Meet Hitler Telling Him of Opposition in The Church Hot

Some time during the summer Bishops Hans Meiser and Theophil Wurm of the Evangelical-Lutheran Church meet with Adolf Hitler to explain that there is opposition in the church to the teaching of the German Christians, but that this in no way affects all their political loyalty to Hitler personally and the Nazi regime generally.

This goes for members of the Confessing Church as well.
