Cardinal Michael von Faulhaber of Bavaria sends a complaint to the Bavarian Council of Ministers that nearly 100 Catholic priests have been arrested in the past few weeks for political reasons. There are also procedures underway for the dissolution of Catholic organizations.

The priests will be released after the Concordat between Germany and the Vatican is signed. Cardinal Faulhaber himself will later say about Adolf Hitler:

"Without doubt the chancellor lives in faith in God. He recognizes Christianity as the foundation of Western culture."
