Adolf Hitler is released early from Stadelheim Prison in Munich. He has spent the past month in prison for attacking Otto Ballerstedt, leader of the rival Bayernbund, while he was giving a speech in Munich's . Ballerstedt was severely injured and pressed charges against Hitler.

He was tried in January and sentenced to three months imprisonment, though two were suspended against future good behavior.
