The Vatican protests when the German Propaganda Ministry forces the Catholic Augsburger Postezeitung to publish articles defending Germany's forced sterilizations while prohibiting any mention of the Catholic Church's condemnation of the laws.

Cardinal Pacelli, the Vatican Secretary of State and future Pope Pius XII, emphasizes that he has no problem with the enforced uniformity of the German media on political issues, but he doesn't want to see that prevent the dissemination of Catholic opinions about religious matters.

In other words, censorship to prevent the dissemination of dissenting views on matters like the construction of concentration camps, the banning of all political parties other than the Nazi Party, and expanded prosecution of allegedly treasonous acts is just fine as Pacelli is concerned.
