Armed terrorists storm the EU office in Gaza and demand an apology for the publication of twelve satirical and critical cartoons of Muhammad in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten.

EU ministers meet in Brussels and afterwards, Austrian foreign minister Ursula Plassnik states that the European Union "strongly rejects" such threats and, furthermore, that "Any boycott of Danish goods would be seen as a boycott of European goods."
