Guido von List publishes Die deutsche Mythologie (German Mythology), a book about his theories about the ancient Wotan cult.

List will be one of many late 19th and early 20th century writers who romanticize ancient polytheistic religions, imbuing those religions with everything they hold in high esteem while criticizing modern religions for all the ills of the world.

Some of Guido von List's ideas will find their way into the neo-pagan and occult beliefs of some Nazis. It's unlikely that Guido von List has much more than a superficial or marginal influence on the development of Nazi ideology, but he does share with them a disdain for Jewish and Semitic ideas as well as their impact on Germanic culture.
