In Merrimack, New Hampshire, Rev. Paul Norwalt addresses a school board meeting and asks them to start including creationism alongside evolution in public school science classes.

According to Rev. Norwalt of the Merrimack Baptist Temple:

"John Scopes knew that evolutionism had a place in public schools. Now the tables have turned a bit. ...

Right now, our science program is a one-way street. Let's get our kids on the cutting edge and let them have the opportunity to compare and decide for themselves."

The school board will be warned by People for the American Way that teaching creationism in science classes is illegal, "even if used to balance the teaching of evolution."
