Pierre Laval, conservative president of the Council of France, meets with Benito Mussolini in Rome. This meeting will lead to an alliance between France and fascist Italy as well as closer links between French fascist elements and the Italian fascist party.

Fortunately the French fascist parties are themselves split and going in different directions, preventing them from uniting behind a single banner or single course of action.
