Catholic Feast Days Become Official State Holidays in Prussia

The Prussian cabinet issues a new law recognizing all Catholic Feast Days as official state holidays. This sort of official recognition of Catholicism is very popular with Catholics, both clergy and laity, in part because it represents a greater measure of official acceptance in German society and politics.
