Adolf Hitler issues a decree commanding the police to work closely with the SS and the SA to support "national propaganda," and fight against groups which are "hostile to the state," even if it requires "making ruthless use of firearms."

This is one of the first steps towards integrating the organs of the Nazi Party with the offices and institutions of the German state. Over time, the goal is for the two to become indistinguishable and inseparable: being a good German will mean being a Nazi while being Nazi means being a good German.
