Tancred, Prince of Galilee, and his forces rejoin the main body of Crusaders who are besieging Antioch, and discovers that Peter the Hermit is attempting to flee to Constantinople. Tancred seizes Peter and ensures that he returns to the battle.

This is apparently a smart move because according to the chroniclers, Peter the Hermit will be responsible for delivering a rousing speech to the half-starved Christian Crusaders, inspiring them to achieve an incredible victory against the much-larger Muslim defenders.
