In Florida, the Church of Scientology settles four massive lawsuits that had been filed against it and U.S. District Judge Elizabeth Kovachevich seals all of the details so no one can know exactly how much Scientology is paying to make these lawsuits go away.

Clearwater Mayor Gabe Cazares sued for $1.5 million for invasion of privacy and malicious prosecution over a Scientology lawsuit that the courts threw out as frivolous.

Tanja Burden sued Scientology for more than $45 million, alleging that founder L. Ron Hubbard and his wife, Mary Sue Hubbard, had enslaved her for more than four years. Nancy McLean sued in 1981, alleging invasion of privacy and malicious prosecution over another lawsuit that was dismissed as frivolous.

Margery Wakefield sued in 1982 claiming fraud and mental abuse. Wakefield will defy the gag order and go public with what the Church of Scientology did to her and how much they are paying her for her silence.
