A deputy of the regional bishop of the Bremen Evangelical-Lutheran Church instructs pastors to notify the Gestapo immediately if they become aware of activity by Jehovah's Witnesses.

The Jehovah's Witnesses are the one Christian group which is consistently persecuted by the Nazi government — and with the help of other Christians, too. Yet the primary thing which Jehovah's Witnesses refuse to do is to simply swear an oath to Adolf Hitler; otherwise they are willing to be loyal and supportive of the Nazi state.
