German Christians Told Christ Appears in Form of Hitler

Reich Conference of German Christians at the Sportpalast in Berlin (November 13, 1933) — The German Christian reads "The Gospel in the Third Reich"

Kirchenrat Julius Leutheuser (a member of the Lutheran church leadership) addresses a crowd of German Christians in Saalfeld and tells them that Adolf Hitler was brought to them by God, and that Christ now appears to them in the form of Hitler.

According to Leutheuser:

"The word "German" is God's Word! Whosoever understands this is released from all theological conflicts. This is German: return home to Germany and leave behind egoism and your feelings of abandonment. ...

Christ has come to us through the person of Adolf Hitler. ...

Hitler has taken root in us; through his strength, through his honesty, his faith and his idealism we have found our way to paradise."

German Christians are actively working to redefine the nature of the Christian church. Instead of a universal community of believers, the idea of the Christian church is becoming dependent on German notions of race and ethnicity.

According to German Christians, God reveals himself to humanity not merely in Scripture and through Jesus, but also in nature (race) and history.
