Murad V is deposed as sultan of the Ottoman Empire, just 93 days after he became sultan. Highly influenced by French culture, he intended to bring democratic reforms to the Ottoman Empire and this is the likely reason that he is replaced with brother, Abd-ul-Hamid II.

His enemies do not admit to this openly, however, and instead say that he has to be replaced because he is mentally ill.
