An arrest warrant is issued for Joseph Smith and other Mormon leaders by a judge in Daviess County, Missouri.

They are charged with entering another county and threatening Judge Adam Black in order to force him to sign an affidavit that he

"is not attached to any mob, nor will attach himself to any such people, and so long as they [the Mormons] will not molest me, I will not molest them."

The men surrender to authorities and pay bail of $500.
