Representatives of Jordan and Israel meet in Rhodes to sign an armistice. This is one of a series of agreements signed between Israel and various Arab nations to put an end to the 1948 Arab-Israeli War.

They will create Armistice Demarcation Lines between Israeli forces and Jordanian forces in the West Bank, also known as the Green Line.
