Warsaw Ghetto Uprising: Although the uprising of Jews in the Warsaw Ghetto had started back in January, now is the time when the SS decides to enter the ghetto in force for a final evacuation and liquidation of all the Jews.

They expect the action to be completed within a few days, but the tenacity and effectiveness of the Jewish resistance surprises them. By the time the ghetto is emptied in May, 13,000 Jews will die in the fighting.
