In many cases, churches are the only places where this information exists and without it, it would be impossible for the Nazis to enact their racial policies.
Priests and various church employees will enter all the data onto cards which will then be tabulated and sorted using IBM machines, all for the purpose of aiding the Nazis in identifying Jews and controlling the German population. At no point do the priests complain about delivering all of information to the Nazis, even after it means sending someone to their death rather than simply excluding them from a job.
Instead, the only complaints are that the cards are too small and/or it's all too much work being expected of them without any financial compensation. Betraying Jews to their deaths apparently doesn't pay very well.
