In his diary, Joseph Goebbels worries about how "Everyone among the people is talking of a second revolution." The Nazis attracted widespread support by attacking both capitalism and communism; now that the communists have been swept away, many lower-ranking Nazis are agitating for the next move against capitalism, big business, and industry.

This was a real concern because with around 2 million men, the SA stormtroopers under Ernst Röhm are a larger force than even the German army.
