Heinrich Brüning Follows Monsignor Kaas as Leader of Catholic Center Party

Heinrich Brüning succeeds Monsignor Ludwig Kaas as leader of the Catholic Center Party. Kaas had to resign due to criticism that he was simultaneously a member of parliament and advising the pope in Rome, creating at least an appearance of a conflict of interest.
