James D. Watson is born in Chicago. Together with Francis Crick, Watson will build the first accurate model of a DNA molecule in 1953. Both will later win the Nobel Prize for their work.

James Watson is often sought for his views on science, philosophy, ethics, and even religion. What many people may not realize is that he is an atheist — someone who "absolutely" does not believe in God.
