L'Osservatore Cattolico, a Milan newspaper written almost entirely by Catholic priests, reports that deputies in the Austrian parliament are using evidence from this newspaper to demand that the imperial government investigate the crimes committed by Jews seeking Christian blood for their rituals.

The president of the parliament refuses, but according to the newspaper this is only because he's in league with the Jews: "as much as he feared retribution from the Jews, he loved their gold."
