Alessandro Ottaviano de' Medici is elected Pope Leo XI, taking the name of his uncle Pope Leo X. He's already 70 years old and quite frail upon his election, so he will only be pope for 27 days. Because of how short his pontificate is, he will get the nickname Papa Lampo ("Lightning Pope").

While a cardinal, he worked hard for church reforms.
